The Verona Eagles Youth Football & Cheerleading organization was founded in 1965 and played its inaugural season in 1966. Our organization operates on the belief and principle that every child who wants to participate in the sport of football or cheerleading should be developed in a program that is designed to make them successful as an individual and as part of a team.
The goal of the Verona Eagles is to provide a safe and positive playing environment for all participants with an expectation of success through respect, character growth, physical fitness, work ethic and attitude creating a confident individual who will carry this attitude into all aspects of life.
We participate in the West Essex Junior Football League, a 12-team league consisting of teams from neighboring towns. We choose to compete in a league based on age divisions with weight limits because we believe safety is our top priority and the development of each child should be comparable for children within these levels.
